- 7 E-Meters.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 09-04-1992
- DESC: E-Meters - These apps increment a counter every time they are
- KEY: E-Meters.sit KBytes: 24576
- DESC: allowed to go through their event loop, if they are in the
- DESC: background then they must rely on the active application to pass
- DESC: spare time onto other applications running under Multifinder or
- DESC: system 7+. PowerBook owners will see what happens when the CPU
- DESC: drops into rest mode, the display will catch up with this as soon
- DESC: as you move the trackball or hit a key. Both of these apps use the
- DESC: GetNextEvent thingy in the event loop and should get the maximum
- DESC: number of nullevents etc.
- DESC:
- 6 Earth 1.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 08-06-1992
- DESC: Earth 1.1 - Earth is a system extension which draws a spinning globe
- KEY: Earth 1.1.sit KBytes: 7168
- DESC: over the apple in the menu bar (in colour if you have it). To
- DESC: install Earth, simply put it into your System Folder and reboot.
- DESC: Once it is installed, placing the cursor in the upper left-hand
- DESC: corner of the screen and waiting a fraction of a second will put
- DESC: the spinning globe away (or bring it back). Earth 1.1 may be freely
- DESC: used and copied as long as it is not sold for profit without my
- DESC: permission and any redistribution includes this file. (Enjoy!) If
- DESC: you would like to customize it for yourself, please see the section
- DESC: "For ResEdit Hackers".
- 5 EASYLAUNCH.sit 4 B AMUG BBS in a Box 08-28-1991
- DESC: A small application...not an INIT that makes it easy to launch all
- KEY: EASYLAUNCH.sit KBytes: 10240
- DESC: freq- uently used applications without having to open Finder
- DESC: windows. Works nicely in conjunction with Applicon in that all the
- DESC: small tiles of opened applications will appear on the desktop
- DESC: without the clutter of many opened Finder windows. To use this
- DESC: System 7.0 dependent program, create a new folder and place
- DESC: EasyLaunch in it. Then make aliases of all frequently used
- DESC: applications and place them in the folder with EasyLaunch.you
- DESC: should place an alias of EasyLaunch in the Startup Items folder in
- DESC: order to have it open on start-up.
- 4 ElfNiks.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 11-06-1992
- DESC: ElfNiks - ElfNiks is SYSTEM 7 ONLY. Its only interface is Drag and
- KEY: ElfNiks.sit KBytes: 12288
- DESC: Drop, so you cannot use it with earlier Systems. If you double-click
- DESC: on it from a System 6 machine, you will get an error message and the
- DESC: software will quit gracefully. ElfNiks does two dumb jobs, actually.
- DESC: It filters files originating on Unix systems and converts the
- DESC: Linefeeds to Carriage Returns. And it filters DOS files, throwing
- DESC: the Linefeeds away. To use ElfNiks _with_ System 7, simply select
- DESC: the files you want to filter and drag them on the program's icon or
- DESC: an alias of it.
- DESC:
- 3 Enigma 2.2.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 01-26-1994
- DESC: Enigma 2.2 - Enigma 2.2 is an application which can provide near
- KEY: Enigma 2.2.sit KBytes: 134144
- DESC: absolute protection for your sensitive documents and applications.
- DESC: By downloading this application you can encrypt files using a
- DESC: limited version of the Government Standard DES algorithm. For only
- DESC: $15 this can be upgraded to the full DES standard (US and Canada
- DESC: only). If you would prefer your neighbors not see your accounting
- DESC: data, your co-workers not see your performance appraisal, or your
- DESC: competitor see your trade secrets then Enigma is an application you
- DESC: will find very valuable. Version 2.2 contains user interface
- DESC: upgrades and bug fixes to Enigma 2.1. Requires System 7. Also
- 2 ExAminer 1.0.1.sit 0 B AMUG BBS in a Box 12-27-1993
- DESC: ExAminer 1.0.1 - Here is ExAminer 1.0.1, a System Folder maintenance
- KEY: ExAminer 1.0.1.sit KBytes: 54272
- DESC: utility for Apple Macintosh computers. With ExAminer you can “mine”
- DESC: for extensions and things in the System Folder. You can change what
- DESC: is enabled and what is disabled, and you can create “sets” of
- DESC: configurations. You can think of ExAminer as a tool that either
- DESC: “mines” (digs) for Extensions and Apple Menu Items (and more) items
- DESC: or lets you ”exam” the System Folder. Either metaphor works!
- DESC: ExAminer supports Macintosh Plus and newer computers with at least
- DESC: 2MB of memory and requires System 7. ExAminer is compatible with
- DESC: multiple monitors and large screen monitors.
